ARTS - A Fake shot exhibition
The world of photography has just been enriched with a new exhibition. You will tell me: “nothing new, there are lots of them!” ". Yes, but the latter, “Fake shot”, in New York, within the MoMa itself, reveals and validates a new way of “photographing”.
But can we talk about photographing? Actually no, these are photographic montages. More specifically the design of fake photographs.
And the big current trend is the use of A.I., Artificial Intelligence, to perfect these creations.
You have surely already seen this type of images, especially on social networks: they are legion, creating a buzz because they are created for purposes not always acknowledged. In short, it is, most often, fake news with disinformation intentions.
However, as with photography, of course there is the purely informative, documentary aspect, but there can also be an artistic desire. This is the case with this exhibition.
You will find surprising, even fanciful, humorous, incredible, fantastic montages, but also full of poetry, feelings, emotions, in a word, artistic.
And even – the height of editing – in black and white!!!
