GEOGRAPHY - The real borders
Perhaps you have noticed the straight line of African borders? It actually results from the colonial era and its aftermath.
For many other nations, the definition of borders was done over time, through History... They are now established, so to speak, definitively. However, there are still a number of places where these boundaries are not recognized by one of the border countries. It is then subject to claim, or even armed conflict…
The study carried out by Cérium (Centre for International Studies and Research of the University of Montreal) should make its contribution to international policy.
CERIUM called upon – as is currently in vogue – A.I., Artificial Intelligence. And this from a simple principle: where the borders, the distribution of states should be placed, based on criteria... that the A.I. also has the mission of finding and defining.
In short, on what criteria were the borders formed, particularly those which have varied the least over time? There, we find geographical constraints (rivers, mountains, deserts, etc.), religious, linguistic, economic, but also relating to a form of human tectonics, etc. To arrive at a world quite close to ours although...
