ASTROPHYSICS - The Big Bang, is it so simple !?
It seems that astrophysicists now agree on an explanation for the Big Bang. And yes: why, suddenly, 13.8 billion years ago, the universe was born, with it time (?), Then its expansion ...? Whereas one would have thought, before Friedmann and Lemaitre (who proposed the concept) and Hubble (who observed it), that it had always existed and was stationary.
A relatively simple answer was given at the last astrophysics and cosmology congress of the IAP (Paris Institute of Astrophysics) ... and we had already mentioned elements of this solution.
So let's start again: space-time would be a 4-dimensional space. Our 3-dimensional space + a Time dimension. Space can be "orthonormal" (old memory of Secondary?), On the other hand, time is different, the unit of time "would decrease" from the Origin. In short, it would be in T², you follow? Always positive or even imaginary (math). Thus, the ratio between a spatial quantity and the time quantity would be of the L / T² type which results in ... the acceleration of the expansion of the universe!
Suddenly, mathematically speaking, space appears to us as spherical, let us say even hyper-spherical, corresponding in fact to a particular conic. 13.8 MM years ago, time did not appear: it has always existed, but it "unfolded" very slowly. And the space, comparatively, was very "small": the Big-Bang.
A revolution ! Well, I'll let you digest, we'll come back to it ...
