D’un côté, il y a les chantages via Internet : femmes ou hommes de pays pauvres, comme la Côte d’Ivoire, qui prennent contact avec des français ou françaises, via les réseaux sociaux généralement. Pour en arriver à créer des liens, une mise en confiance. Mais, bien vite, on en arrive à des relations intimes, des vidéos… et le piège se referme ! Menaces, chantage… contre versement d’argent.

D’un autre côté, autre manipulation : le brouteur (c’est comme ça qu’on les appelle) fait de telle sorte à créer un sentiment amoureux chez la future victime… mais subit besoin d’argent (hospitalisation, voyage, problèmes financiers divers). La proie, alors, aide financièrement. Mais cela peut même aboutir à faire venir le piégeur en France, pour vivre ensemble, se marier…

Un mixte des deux apparaît depuis peu : le chantage au mariage blanc. Là, la victime doit être célibataire, n’a pas les moyens de payer.

Alors, sous menace de diffuser des vidéos compromettantes, le maître-chanteur demande à l’autre un mariage forcé, explicitement mariage blanc, en toute discrétion, afin d’obtenir une autorisation de séjour suivie d’une naturalisation, puis d’un divorce, tout aussi discret.

Et le tour est joué ! 

… pour le meilleur pour l’un, le pire pour l’autre.
