EUROPE - The North-South Divorce
It would have been running for some time now. Time and time again, the countries of southern Europe showed their annoyance - to say the least - with regard in particular to Germany, its hegemony in the European Union and the impoverishment that this entailed for the south. .
But here, the crisis seems insoluble if not by the split of Europe, especially since the agreement that asserts itself between Germany, England, the Scandinavian countries, the Netherlands, and Luxembourg .
On the other, the southern countries: Italy, Spain, Portugal, Greece. The Franco-German alliance is on the wane, France is drifting inexorably towards the south ... As for Belgium, it reflects the whole conflict: the next Flemish / Walloon separation is no longer in doubt. And Eastern Europe, it also picks, torn between that of the south and the pressure that continues to put Russia, after Ukraine and Belarus.
The next Brussels summit may well be the last ...
Well, was not a similar situation during the initial US history?
