BIOLOGIE Reconstituer des êtres vivants

Les progrès, en biologie et génétique, vont à une vitesse folle ! C’est l’impression que l’on a lorsque l’on lit la dernière communication de l’Institut Pasteur.

Vous avez entendu parler de l’ADN : la « carte d’identité » du vivant ? Le composé ultime qui contient toutes les caractéristiques de telle ou telle espèce. Et vous avez sans doute appris que l’on commençait à détailler cette « hélice », de façon à en identifier chaque génome. Beaucoup de recherches dans ce domaine et ça progresse très vite.

Parmi les caractéristiques, il y a l’aspect général, qui fait qu’un poisson ne ressemble pas vraiment à un félin ou un oiseau… Et bien, grâce quand même au développement des capacités informatiques, un travail est mené actuellement en vue de reconstituer, en 3D sur ordinateur, l’image extérieure d’un être vivant à partir uniquement de son ADN !!!

Nous n’en sommes qu’aux prémisses, aux grandes caractéristiques : présence d’ailes, de nageoires, de pieds, de poils, les dimensions… Mais le but est d’affiner les résultats de façon à différencier de plus en plus finement. Une énorme banque de données qui se constitue peu à peu et dont l’assemblage d’éléments permettra, à terme, d’ainsi reconstituer un tigre ou un lion par exemple.

Et ainsi recréer, en virtuel, les animaux disparus… Et la lignée humaine.

Progress in biology and genetics is going at a crazy pace! This is the impression that one has when one reads the last communication of the Institut Pasteur.

And you have probably learned that we were beginning to detail this "helix", so as to identify each genome. A lot of research in this area and it progresses very quickly.
Among the features, there is the general appearance, which makes a fish does not really look like a cat or a bird ... Well, thanks to the development of computer capabilities, work is being done to reconstitute , in 3D on computer, the external image of a living being starting from only its DNA !!!
We are only at the beginning, the great characteristics: presence of wings, fins, feet, hair, dimensions ... But the goal is to refine the results so as to differentiate more and more finely. A huge data bank that is gradually being built and whose assembly of elements will eventually make it possible to reconstitute a tiger or a lion, for example.
And thus recreate, in virtual, the missing animals ... And the human line.
