ARTS: We now know how to find the model from painting
We sometimes know the real model that was used to create a painting, be it a character or a landscape, because historical or geographical knowledge allowed us to do so.
This is all the easier since the appearance of photography and for some artistic trends such as hyper-realism.
But when there was only this means of representation, or when the paw of the artist transformed the subject ...?
A team from the School "e-artsup" now allows it!
Disturbing result: we get a "photo". Nothing can differentiate, with the naked eye, with a real shot! And the subject is thus reconstituted, as "for real" ... landscape or character.
It is easier then to locate the originals: names of places or people.
It's weird: it does not work for Picasso, cubist period ?! Not in the point !!!
